They are Home!

Chris, Ethan and Spencer arrived home Thursday evening!  It was such a wonderful homecoming, and we are thankful for everyone who shared the special event with us.  My favorite moment was when I picked him up.  He gave me a big hug and kissed me on the cheek!!

Spencer is doing better than I expected.  He has been sleeping through the night and eating most foods.  He acts like he has been home forever!  Seriously, it has been amazing.

More China Photos

China and the Toothfairy

First of all, Isabelle lost her first tooth...teeth!  She lost her bottom two teeth within an hour of each other.  She was so brave and pulled them out herself!   One was lost in Toys*R*Us and the other in the van.  The toothfairy brought her $5!

The boys are still doing great in China.  They visited Shamian Island yesterday and had a great time.  Also, Spencer lost a tooth a few days ago.  The toothfairy gave him a gold coin.  Please pray that Spencer's passport will arrive on time for the Consulate appointment on Tuesday. It is being expedited from Changchun via Fed*Ex. We really don't want any delays!!! Here are a few more photos....

Visit to the zoo

The boys are still doing great in China.  They visited a palace and the zoo in the last couple of days.   They flew to Guangzhou last night.  I guess Spencer did ok, but he didn't like the seatbelt.  He has his visa medical exam today!

Spencer is still doing great! He is mimicking Chris and Ethan and being silly. We found out that he got gum in his hair resulting in his bald spot!! He seems very content and happy.

They have him!!

Chris and Ethan met Spencer!  Wow!!!
They skyped us around 1:00 am this morning.  Spencer was full of smiles, and he definitely has some personality!  He was blowing kisses and waving.  He also pretended to use a toy car for a phone and talked and talked and talked!  As we were talking, he took an entire Oreo and stuffed it in his mouth.  Yep, he will fit right in!!!
He seems to be very smart and healthy.  Chris said he had a hearty appetite.  He told the translator that he can walk if someone holds his hand.  That is positive news to hear about his knee.  Also, it looks like he tried to give himself a haircut for us - oops!!!

China Trip - update #1

Chris and Ethan made it safely to China!  They are tired, but having a good time.

Catching up - again!

As usual, there is so much going on.
Ethan and Devin had band concerts.  They were both very good and sounded wonderful.  Ethan even had a solo.

Devin had a baseball tournament.  They took second! Great job, Riverdogs.


Ethan had a Band banquet, and he received his Letter.  We are so proud of his hardwork. 



Grandpa and Grandma came for a visit. We had tons of fun and wore them out. LOL 



On Mother's Day, I received a wonderful gift.  Ethan and Devin were baptized.  Then Chris took us all out for a splendid lunch!  Ruth and Riley also made me special art at preschool.  I love my family!



I had a meeting with Ruth's teachers today.  They are so proud of her accomplishments (so are we).  She will remain in Early Childhood Center and continue with Speech.



Tonight, Riley had his Preschool Promotion Program.  He did great!  This is the first time he actually performed.  So cute!!!

On top of all of this, we have been preparing for Chris and Ethan's trip to China.  We are all packed and just need to do a couple of little things.  I am nervous for them to leave for so long, but so excited that they are bringing Spencer home!! Please pray for a safe trip and for Spencer's transition.  His whole life is about to change.  Please pray for his little heart!

Travel Approval!

That's right!  We are going to China.  We will meet Spencer on May 21st! 
I have so much to do in the next few weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, I can't wait to hug this sweet lil' guy.

New photos!!

Today we received new photos of Spencer. We were really pleased to see him using his leg! He looks healthy and happy. He is just a tiny bit smaller than Isabelle - which is great news. Last update he was closer to Riley's size.

We attended our church's Saturday night service! It was a wonderful sermon, and I am so thankful for a loving God and Savior!!!

On Friday, Good Friday, we were notified that our Article 5 had been picked up. Chris and Ethan will probably head to China in mid-May to bring home Spencer! We are so thankful to have our son home soon.
